Having a community center in our area would be incredibly important. It would provide a central gathering place for members to come together, socialize, and build relationships — especially valuable for people who may feel isolated or disconnected.
A community center could offer after-school programs, tutoring, job training, cultural events, and recreational activities for our youth, families, and elders. It could also serve as a hub for community organizing and advocacy, giving our leaders a space to plan and coordinate efforts that strengthen our community’s voice.
